Have you ever heard the quote “busy people get things done.”
Seems pretty contradicting as you would think that the busier we are, the less time we have to accomplish things, right? Not exactly.
I remember a time when I felt like I have absolutely no time to workout. I was constantly stressed about money, relationships, my weight and always feeling like I needed to be DOING something to get ahead.
I didn’t have time to dedicate an hour of my day to working out. If I started a workout program, that would be one less hour that I have to figure my life out.
I had what I like to call “analysis paralysis.” This is when you analyze all of the potential things that we need to do or could be doing, that we end up getting stuck and not going anything.
You see, I was kidding myself as many of us do. I was living with the mindset of the “have, do, be” script.
I had convinced myself that once I HAVE the time to work out, I will DO the workouts, and I will finally BE happy and have the life that I wanted.
Boy was I wrong. Luckily for me, I was having a conversation with a good friend when he brought up this “have, do be” script to me.
He explained it and it just made so much sense. He then shared that all I had to do was flip it around and my so call problems would fix themselves.
So, I thought okay…If I first BE happy which was a decision I had to make in my head. I could manage that.
I then would be DOing my workouts and moving towards my goals, I would ultimately HAVE the time and things that I desired in life.
Momentum works in both ways, and if start your day with a little bit of exercise, you’re going to be proud and more likely to make another productive decision.
This is how we start to create the life we want. Progress is happiness. So all you have to do it start.
And who says you have to work out for an hour? If you’re not working out at all right now, I think 10 minutes would be pretty dang awesome!
Now I think you have 10 minutes, don’t you? That’s what I thought!
