When we start on any mission in life we have a goal.
Something sparked our interest or emotionally moved us to want more.
I remember when I was 22 years old. 60+ pounds overweight, I needed a change. Ever since I was a little boy, I wanted to have 6 pack abs and feel comfortable taking my shirt off.
I thought, what better way than to be a bodybuilder? If I competed in one of those shows, I would look like them and ultimately reach my goal.
Guess what? 7 months later I hired a coach, lost the weight, and was in the best shape of my life!
I was so proud of what I had accomplished when I stepped on that stage!
I learned that in life we have to have goals. At first, I thought I just wanted to be lean and that was the ultimate prize. While on this journey, I realized it is more important to have a goal than to actually achieve it.
Of course, you want to achieve your goals—and you can! But the point is you need to take the first step. You need to want more. You need to level up!
