We’re faced with it every single day.
Today, more than ever, food is highly processed…
It’s full of ingredients that you can’t even name…
And the portions just keep getting bigger and bigger.
Portions today are generally larger than an average person should consume in a single meal.
But do restaurants and the media tell us that?
We adapt to the norm, but ultimately suffer because of it.
Most people do not work out enough compared to the calories they’re consuming, and many people work jobs that require them to sit for long hours.
Before, during, and after these hours of little movement, we eat large portions of unhealthy foods that result in us gaining unwanted weight.
So what’s the solution?
The best answer is to be intentional about what you’re eating and how much.
Eat from home as often as you can.
Eat whole foods that are nutrient dense and stay away from anything processed!
A very simple thing you can do is pack your own lunch to help you stay away from the convenience foods that are thrown your way on a daily basis.
And here’s a tip to increase your activity level:
Set a timer on your phone to stand up every hour and do some sort of small movements such as jumping jacks, high knees, or squats to get the blood flowing and your brain re-energized!
